Paperless Innovations, Inc., a leader in government procurement automation and management solutions, today announced it has been sponsored by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for a security assessment by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
The FedRAMP sponsorship applies to Paperless’s proprietary cloud SaaS technology, called Actus which is to be used for ICE’s Automated Purchase Card Approval System.
“The Actus FedRAMP sponsorship is an important milestone for providing access to a secure procurement tool to meet agency initiatives. ICE is sponsoring Actus so that the rest of the government will have the ability to take advantage of a secure procurement environment for micro-purchases.”
Colette Volkmer, ICE Purchase Card Program Manager
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that promotes the adoption of secure cloud services across the federal government by providing a standardized approach to security and risk assessment for cloud technologies and federal agencies. Paperless Innovations has retained Earthling Security, a FedRAMP-accredited Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO). Earthling Security is highly involved in vetting and researching cloud security and compliance in the federal government.
Paperless Innovations’ selection of Earthling Security was based on analysis of the company’s extensive knowledge of FedRAMP architecture. “Earthling Security’s trained and certified staff have extensive expertise in cloud architecture and security operations,” said Mike Tocci, President of Paperless Innovations.
“Our Actus solution has been deemed ready for FedRAMP assessment by TalaTek, an independent reviewer. The solution is ready for Earthling Security’s in-depth assessment.”
The company plans to announce FedRAMP Ready status during 2022. Actus is currently the only procurement automation SaaS solution for the government,” said Tocci. “Its FedRAMP Ready listing will provide access for all government organizations to commercial best practices for Accountability, Compliance, and Transparency in the automation of workflows, document and oversight management involving micro-purchase transactions.”
